The pioneer of the Yoruba World Congress, Prof Banji Akintoye, has said Yoruba People Will Challenge Federal Government for declaring Amotekun as Illegal in court.
Akintoye, who is a famous historian said in a meeting with one of our reporters that his gathering would hold up until today to hear the position the South-West governors would take on the improvement.
The pioneer of the YWC said he had addressed scores of legal counselors who revealed to him that the Federal Government's declaration on the South-West Security Network codenamed Operation Amotekun was illegal.
Akintoye stated, "We will hold up till tomorrow first thing to hear what our governors will say. Nonetheless, Amotekun is never again the issues of the governors alone, it has become a property of the Yoruba people.
"We Yorubas will react to the situation of scores of attorneys I have addressed about this is simply the activity of the Federal Government is illegal
"Every one of the legal advisors said the activity of the Federal Government was illegal and that the Yoruba people should seek after it in court.
"We will trust our legal advisors on in what capacity will seek after it lawfully.
Then, the Yoruba Youth Socio-Cultural Association has said the Federal Government's dismissal of Amotekun had additionally affirmed that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), is supporting the Fulani against other ethnic gatherings without concealing it.
The National President of the gathering, Olalekan Hammed, said this in an announcement on Tuesday.
The announcement read, "Everyone realizes that the frailty issue confronting the nation is to a great extent being executed by Fulani herders and we (Yoruba) turned out with an enduring arrangement.
"Be that as it may, lamentably, our drive is being rubbished by the Federal Government. There is no uncertainty, Buhari doesn't need harmony to reign in Nigeria.
"The entire world would now be able to see that Buhari is on the side of the herders threatening our kin.
"It is it is possible that we rebuild the country or we have our own country.
"Our security is no more ensured as all force appears to have a place with herders."
